Empowering Tomorrow's Makers with Thandeka Vocational Education Trust
Shaping Futures Together
Earlier this year, Imagemakers proudly donated 30 Juki domestic sewing machines to the Thandeka Vocational Education Trust in Philippi Village - empowering learners with practical skills in the local textile, retail, and manufacturing industry. Building on that foundation, we've taken the next step in our partnership by donating custom-branded hoodies to Thandeka's graduating learners. More than a gift, these hoodies represent pride, belonging, and the link between education and employment.
The impact in action
At the handover event, learners proudly wore their new Imagemakers hoodies - smiles all around. These garments will accompany them into internships and full-time roles within South Africa's clothing and textile industry.
The bigger picture
We believe the local corporate wear industry has to move beyond "import, print, and repeat". It's about nurturing home-grown talent, creating sustainable jobs within industry, and strengthening local supply chains. At Imagemakers, our commitment to continuity extends beyond colour and style - it's about ensuring consistent opportunities for South Africa's future makers.
We invite our clients, suppliers, and community to join us in this journey - whether by sponsoring equipment, offering internships, or supporting the pathways that start at the grassroot level. Thank you to the team at Thandeka and their learners for their passion and warmth in receiving our donations, and to our own Imagemakers family for championing youth upliftment. Together at Imagemakers, we're not just making uniforms - we're shaping futures.
